my sami project
« on: November 29, 2009, 07:33:05 AM »

so i got this samurai from a town called east bumble fuck, its been used on a farm for 15 years,

......... i have an odd desire to not only fix it , but get it road worthy.................

i drove it home 50 miles down the highway at night with no lights but headlights,  no where near legal

she passed the test, no just to make a trail worthy rig outa her

i made some new panels out of 14 gauge steel, so shouldn't dent on a trail to easy,  bought a set of fender flares from the 1 single sami at the junk yard,  and repainted it,, redid half the electrical system and  just last night stripped out the interior and rhino lined,  shes doing pretty good, dont have any pics of the interior yet,

so far mod wise its got a K&N air-filter and a yoshimira exhaust system, 2 inch,   2 inch body lift ,and im makeing the shackles right now for the 2 inch shackle lift,  then hopefully some 31s or 33s  maybe a winch upgrade, cuz 3000 pounds aint cutting it,  and then wiring all new turn signals,

right now im just waiting for the rhino liner to dry and then installing some jeep cherokee seats,  should be a lil more comfy than the 2 that where mismatched in there

......  will update

Good start! If you are thinking of adding lift shackles, I would consider adding a front track-bar (Panhard bar)
